There is actually 3 types of the word Jew as it is used in the Bible.

1st usage: Men who were of the final nation of Judah. :
1 Esdras (Ezra) 5:1 And there prophesied Aggaeus the prophet, and Zacharias the son of Addo, prophesying to the Jews, that were in Jewry and Jerusalem, in the name of the God of Israel.

or Acts 10:28 and he said to them: You know how abominable it is for a man that is a Jew to join, or to approach unto a stranger: but God hath shewed to me to call no man common or unclean.

2nd usage: Jewish early Christians who believed in Christ who were "people of the book": especially believing that the Jesus had come, and by his death; the bonds of the Old Covenant Law were broken.

: Romans 2:28, 29: For not he that is in open shew, is a Jew: and the circumcision of the heart in spirit, not in the letter: whose praise is not of men, but of God
29: but he that is in secret, is a Jew: and the circumcision of the heart  in spirit, not in the letter: whose praise is not of men, but of God.

3rd Usage: Anti-Christs :
Acts 17:5 Galatians 1:13 For you have heard my conversation sometime in Judaism: that above measure I persecuted the Church of God, and expunged it, and profited in Judaism above many of mine equals in my nation

or 1 Thessalonians 2:13b-14 for you also have suffered the same things of your own lineage, as they also of the Jews
14: who both killed our Lord Jesus, and the prophets, and have persecuted us, and please not God, and are adversaries to all men.

Understanding these three characters of the use of the word "Jew" helps the Christian understand the Bible.

Please note they were first called "Christians" at Antioch.   Acts 11:26b And they conversed there in the Church a whole year: and they taught a great multitude, so that the disciples were at Antioch first named, Christians.

Today, none call themselves Jews of the Christian character, for today, they are called Christians. There is not a Judah anymore;  furthermore, there is not a "race" of Jews, just a religion. The races are:  "Caucasian"; "Mongoloid" or Asian;"Negroid" or Black and "Australoid".

Christians do not recognize killing of animals for forgiveness of sins, because Jesus was crucified for a Christian's forgiveness of sins.

Please email me on the contact page and we can discuss the word Jew as used in your KJV or the New Douai Rheims Bible.

What must I believe to be saved?  1John 2:24 1 John 2:10
How can I know I have grace?

Mark 12:28-34
And there came on of the scribes that had heard them questioning, and seeing that he had well answered them, asked him which was the first commandment of all.
29:  And Jesus answered him:  That the first commandment of all is:  Hear Israel, the Lord thy God, is one God.
30:  And thou shalt love the Lord thy God from thy whole heart, and with thy whole soul, and with thy whole mind, and with thy whole power.  This is the first commandment.
31:  And the second is like to it:  Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.  And other commandment greater than these there is not.
32:  And the scribe said to him:  Well, Master, thou hast said in truth, that there is one God, and there is none other besides him.
33:  And that he be loved from the whole heart, and with the whole understanding, and with the whole soul, and with the whole strength, and to love his neighbor as himself, is a greater thing than all holocausts, and sacrifices.

Abraham and Isaac, both, denied their wives before Abimelich; claiming them to be their sister.
God appeared to Abimelich the first time and stopped him from taking Sarah.
The second time  Abimelich saw Isaac sporting with Rebecca and told his men not to touch her.  God saved the SEED to come out of Abraham and Isaac.
That SEED is Christ, for they looking forward believed the "I AM" was to come in the flesh and would redeem both Abraham and Isaac.  They were made safe by God and by their faith.

And for sure not Abimelich.
