Crossing over Jordan
Typifies entering heaven.

Christians believing in Jesus as the true
Saviour, by his death on the
cross giving us a hope in eternal life– is also a type of the “Children of Israel crossing over Jordan.”
Another Parable or Allegorical story represented by the “Crossing over Jordan” is God giving us the Old Covenant (his Old Testament) and then giving us His New Covenant (his New Testament) which was for His Children who believed in him.

When the Children of Israel ( which were 20 years old and upward) were counted when
they left Egypt they numbered:
Numeri 1:46________________________
Numeri 1:32_______________________

When the Children of the Children of Israel
(men under 20) crossed Jordan they became his true New Allegorical Church.

These numbered:
Numeri 26:51________________________

What would happen to the First group that were counted?

They died because of their unbelief and disdain for God (Jesus). Thus a paradox the Old and the New
The New Man generated from the Gentiles.

Those who are without God.
Those who are with God.

Remember all the journeys (under 20 yr. olds who were to cross Jordan, and had seen all of the marvelous works that the Lord had shown them and taught them by the 'manna'-word of God.)
Deuteronomy,-8:2,3___________________________

This Land flowing with Milk and Honey is obviously spiritually Heaven. The Christian knows it and he is fed by God’s holy Word (manna).

42 Generations:

In Matthew 1:1 the text begins with the genealogy, but the message is given in Verse 1:17.
Therefore all the generations from Abraham unto David, fourteen generations:  and from David to the transmigration of Babylon, fourteen generations, and from the transmigration of Babylon unto Christ, fourteen generations.
If you add these up 14 = 14 = 14 you get 42.
List them below:

The 42nd is missing and probably is Christ or Eternal Life.  Maybe Christianity?
 Another crossing of Jordan.

After 42 generations the bridge to eternal salvation through Jesus Christ was revealed.  The Old Testament of time recorded in Matthew 1:1-17 crossed over to the Promised Land in an allegory with Jesus Christ at the last generation unfolded Christianity with a new Life.  Not under the law; but, of Hope in Faith and a contrite Heart.

4 Ki.  (2 Ki.) 10:14  who said:  Take them alive.
Whom when they had taken alive,
they killed them in a cistern beside the cabin,
two and forty men, and he left not any of them.
* (like all the 42 journeys that wandered in the wilderness and never made it)
4 Kings 2:23-24 (2 Kings 4:23-24 KJV)  *Eliseus and Elias are the names used in NDR Bible instead of KJV's Elisha and Elijah.  NDR Bible's Elias and KJV's Elijah are selfsame and NDR's Elias and KJV Elisha selfsame*.

23:  And from thence he went up into Bethel and when he went up by the way, little lads came forth out of the city, and mocked him, saying:  Come up baldhead, come up baldhead.
24:  Who when he had looked back, he saw them, and cursed them in the name of our Lord and two bears came forth out of the forest, and tore of them two and forty boys.
* the two and forty boys were disdainfully rejected, just like the journeys, thus never to come to Christ, but suffer death by bears since they mocked Eliseus after he had just received Elias' mantle (eternal life).
Spiritually speaking, the 42 boys would never cross River Jordan.

42 Months- time, times, and half a time
Daniel 12:5-11
  5. ¶And I Daniel saw, and behold there stood as it were two others: one on this side upon the bank of the river, and an other on that side, on the other bank of the river.
  6. And I said to the man, that was clothed with linen garments, that stood upon the waters of the river: How long the end of these marvels?
  7. And I heard the man that was clothed with the linen garments, that stood upon the waters of the river, when he had lifted up his right hand and his left hand unto heaven, and had sworn by him that liveth for ever, that unto a time, and times, and the half of a time; and when the dispersion of the hand of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be accomplished.
  8. And I heard, and understood not. And I said: My Lord, what shall be after these things?
  9. And he said: Go, Daniel, because the words are shut up, and sealed until the prefixed time.
  10. Many shall be chosen, and made white, and shall be tried as fire: and the impious shall do impiously, neither shall all the impious understand, but the learned shall understand.
  11. And from the time when the continual sacrifice shall be taken away, and the abomination to desolation shall be set up, a thousand two hundred ninety days.

Apocalypse 12.14
14:  and there were given to the woman two wings of a great eagle that she might fly into the desert unto her place, where she is nourished for a time and times, and half a time from the face of the serpent.

Apocalypse 12.4, 6 a thousand two hundred sixty days
4. and his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and cast them to the earth, and the dragon stood before the woman, which was ready to be delivered:  that when she should be delivered, he might devour her son
6. And the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared of God, that there they might feed her a thousand two hundred sixty days.

*  1,260 divided by 41 equals 30+ (calendar months)
* 1,290 - 1260 = 30 (one calendar month)

The last month being the 42nd journey to the final rest.
Maybe from the time when the 'son of perdition' puts down his facade in the temple, the Christian will have a wilderness of 41 months or 1,260 days finally to reach the 42nd month or 1,290 days of redemption of surviving in the "wilderness".

Praise God, if we will be eternally saved at this final crossing of "42nd" journey of days.

*note Christians should know the end of time, after they see the "Abomination of Desolation" knowing then, there will be 1,260 days of his "Abomination" as told in

Predestination :  the last shall be first and the first shall be last

Ephesians 1:11  In whom we also are called by lot:  predestinate according to the purpose of him that worketh all things according to the council of his will:
12:  that we may be unto the praise of his glory, which before have hoped in Christ.

Romans 9:10-  And not only she:  but Rebecca also conceiving of one copulation, of Isaac our father.
11:  for when they were not yet born, nor had done any good or evil (that the purpose of God according to election might stand),  12:  not of works, but of the caller it was said to her:  that the elder shall serve the younger,
13:  as it is written:  Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.
14:  what shall we say then?  is there iniquity with God?  God forbid.
15:  For to Moyses he saith:  I will have mercy on whom I have mercy:  and I will shew mercy to whom I will shew mercy.
16:  Therefore it is not of the willer, nor the runner, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17:  for the Scripture saith to Pharao:  That to this very purpose have I raised thee, that in thee I may shew my power:  and that my name may be renowned in the whole earth.
21;  Or hath not the potter of clay, power of the same mass, to make one vessel unto honour, and an other unto contumely?
25:  as in Osee he saith:  I will call that which is not my people, my people:  and her that was not beloved, beloved:  and her that hath not obtained mercy, having obtained mercy.
Osee 2:23  And I will sow her unto me into the earth, and I will have mercy on her, that was without mercy
24:  And I will say to Not my people:  My People art thou; and it shall say:  Thou art my God.

1 Peter 2:9  But you are an elect generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people of purchase that you may declare his virtues which from darkness hath called you into his marvelous light (gentiles-the last which are now first*)
10:  which sometime not a people, but now the people of God:  which not having obtained mercy, but now having obtained mercy.

Malachias 1:2,3  I have loved you, saith our Lord, and you have said:  Wherein hast thou loved us?  Was not Esau brother to Jacob?  saith our Lord; and I loved Jacob;
3:  but hated Esau, and I laid his mountains into a wilderness, and his inheritance unto the dragons of the desert.

Abdias (KJV Obadiah) 8.  Why, shall not I in that day, saith our Lord, destroy the wise out of Idumea, and the prudence from the mount of Esau?
9:  And thy valiants of the south shall fear, that man may perish from the mount of Esau.
10:  For the slaughter (of Able*), and for the iniquity against thy brother Jacob, confusion shall cover thee, and thou shalt perish for ever.
*wiriter's admission.

Aggaeus 2:10  Great shall be the glory of this last house, more than of the first, saith the Lord of hosts:  and in this place will I give peace, saith Lord of host.

this parable or allegory is expressed all through the Bible, so the reader can learn the Gospel which is given to the New Covenant People.

Praise God for shedding his blood and giving us Gentiles a hope of his grace in a hope of Salvation.
Hebrews 8:6-7

Bible Study......First shall be Last and the Last shall be First.

Ambiguity of: First Covenant-the first: Second Covenant-the last.

Matthew 20:16 So shall the last, be first: and the first, last. For many be called, but few elect.

Matthew 22:14 For may be called, but few elect.
KJV: For many are called, but few are chosen.

Matthew 19:30 And many shall be first, that are last: and last, that are first.

Matthew 20:16 NDR: So shall the last, be first: and the first, last. for many be called, but few elect. KJV: So the last shall be first, and the first last: for many be called, but few chosen.

Mark 10:31 But many that are first, shall be last, and the last, first.

Luke 13:30 NDR: And behold, they are last that shall be first, and they be first that shall be last. KJV: And, behold, there are last which shall be first, and there are first which shall be last.

Does this parable coincide with these above verses?
Matthew 12:45 NDR: Then goeth he, and taketh with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last of that man be made worse than the first. So shall it be also to this wicked generation.
Who is this generation?
